Zurich and Vaud were the most active cantons for startup exits with 44% and 9% of national deals, respectively. This was just one of the takeaways at Venture Capital Exits 2021, an information packed briefing on exits and trends in Switzerland. It also covered M&A and IPO activity in 2021 in both Europe and Switzerland.
The figures were based on publicly available information and an analysis, presented by David Sidler, Head of Investor Relations, Verve Ventures.In the closing, David Sidler shared his outlook on trends for the coming year.
Well over 85 participants registered for the event in February 2022. Interest was high amongst participants with many questions throughout the session. It was hosted by the INSEAD Private Equity Club of Switzerland (IPEC). It was moderated and organized by Richard Bissonnet, MBA’81, IPEC Switzerland Committee Member, with participation by Martin Spirig, MBA’06J, IPEC Switzerland President.
