With the advent of generative AI (AI-powered generation of texts, images, videos and sounds) we are witnessing a paradigm shift for both business and society. During this event, Unit8 will provide an expert view on the following topics:

Speakers

Dr. Marcin Pietrzyk, CEO & Founder, Unit8 SA

Before establishing Unit8, Marcin was Head of Big Data & Business Intelligence at Swisscom. He regularly advises CXOs on AI, advanced analytics, and data science to solve business challenges and also drives the AI for Good activities at Unit8. He studied at INSEAD, completed his PhD in data mining and machine learning at Orange Labs, Sophia Antipolis, France, and was visiting lecturer for the EMBA at HSG St. Gallen.

Thanos Giannakopoulos, Data Engineering Lead, Unit8 SA
Thanos is an engagement lead and data scientist at Unit8 with focus on NLP, speech recognition and information retrieval. He is currently implementing major AI initiatives for banking and healthcare clients. Prior to Unit8, Athanasios was a data, analytics & AI team lead at Swisscom. Thanos holds an MSc in Computer Science from EPFL

Andreas Blum, Head of Data & AI Consulting Practice, Unit8 SA
Andreas leads the Data & AI Consulting Practice at Unit8 in Zurich and has a sector focus on financial services. He has more than a decade of experience in advising clients on topics including digital transformation, analytics & AI. Prior to Unit8 he worked for UBS, goetzpartners and A.T. Kearney. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MPhil in Innovation & Strategy from Cambridge University.
