Electric grids at a crossroad – how do electric grids need to evolve for our sustainable, secure, stable future.
Monday, 22 September 2025

Electric grids need to adapt to the rapid evolution of methods of electricity supply, storage, and consumption. Long-term investments in distribution grids – often with lifespans of 40–60 years – require strategic foresight to ensure resilience, flexibility, and sustainability. Now that the complexities of electrification are increasingly apparent, it is more important than ever to learn from the perspectives of industry insiders.
Join the discussion to gain unique insights from those directly involved in shaping and operating our electric systems. We will cover the following topics:
  • The present and the future of distribution grid planning
  • Technical and political challenges, bottlenecks and solutions for long term grid planning
  • Fitting clean electricity in the grid – lessons learned
