2 Mar What does ESG mean for business: risk management or value creation? Geneva

IPEC / 18:30 - 19:00

Dear Alumni,
You are invited to an evening conference in Geneva, organized by the Swiss INSEAD Private Equity Club (IPEC).

What does ESG mean for business: risk management or value creation? Geneva
March 2, 2020
Join our panel about the impacts and recent developments of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), an ever-changing investment landscape.
Companies are asked for more ESG data than ever before as ESG is increasingly seen by investors as a relevant “non-financial” metric alongside the more traditional financial ones. Its importance is evident in the value of assets classified as sustainable investments, which has more than doubled in the last eight years, reaching USD 30 trillion as of end 2018.
Is this set of externalities a temporary trend or is it here to stay? Is ESG a “ticking-the-box” exercise or a true value creation mechanism?
These questions and many others are going to be debated by our panel: Tony Zappalà, Partner Highland Europe, Yoann Bernier, Managing Director of the Pension Fund at Group Lombard Odier, and Pan, Founder, Pantera Ventures.
Whether you are a seasoned impact investor, or just recently started hearing about ESG, you will enjoy the discussion, and as always, the networking opportunities over the subsequent apéro.
The event is open to INSEAD alumni and their guests.
