You are invited to join us a fun afternoon of truffle hunting and tasting in the countryside near Basel, organized by the Basel Chapter on the occasion of INSEAD Day 2023.
Truffle Hike, Hunt and Tasting
Sunday 17 September, 2023
In celebration of INSEAD Day 2023, the Basel Chapter looks forward to welcoming alumni from across Switzerland for a fun afternoon outing centred on the elusive truffle.
We will meet near Basel and hike to a plantation to learn how truffles are cultivated and observe how dogs are used to locate the precious fungi, which grow only on the roots of certain trees. We will then enjoy drinks accompanied by a range of delicious truffle products.
Reconnecting with nature and enjoying the best it can offer is the theme of the excursion, organized on the occasion of Baselbieter Genusswoche, a weeklong culinary festival that highlights the gastronomic traditions and innovation of the Basel region.
Children are welcome to join this family-friendly event. Please note the ticketing options below.
Spaces are limited to a maximum of 25 participants.

16:00 Meet at designated meeting point (parking)
– Hike to the truffle plantation
– Tour of truffle plantation and truffle hunting with dog
– Drinks and truffle tasting
– Hike back to the starting point / parking site
