Robotics and machine intelligence are rich sources of innovation and productivity for industry, healthcare, and mobility. And we are just at the start. As a subset of Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics has such promise, but there are still many risks and technology challenges to be addressed. Technology always innovates faster than regulations and norms, according to Marcello Ienca, ETH Senior Researcher. He says we will never have full control over very transformative technologies like AI, but that does not mean that businesses, citizens, ethics boards and regulators are not responsible for its evolution and impact.
