Designed for INSEAD alumni who consider buying a company to manage themselves, this full day event starts with the keynote of INSEAD alumnus Fabio Fagagnini who has completed an MBI process. Afterwards, speakers – many are INSEAD grads themselves – with ample experience in their respective fields will lead a series of transaction-related interactive sessions that help you pursue or progress your own management buy-in.

Speakers (in alphabetical order)

Astrid Audurier leads the Sponsor Group & Fund Financing team at Credit Suisse in Switzerland. She has more than 20 years of corporate financing experience across various sectors and regions. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2017, Astrid worked at StormHarbour in London, executing debt advisory and placement mandates. Before that, she spent 11 years originating and executing large LBO financings within the Leveraged Finance teams at Citi and Barclays Capital in London. Astrid graduated from ESSEC Business School in France.
Nicole Balmer AMP’19 is the CEO of Balmer Süess & Partner. She is an expert in accounting standards such as IFRS, Swiss GAAP FER and Swiss Codes of Obligations with over 13 years as an audit professional for national and international clients at a big four company. Over the past 5 years, she has been focused on privately owned medium sized companies. Nicole is a lecturer and exam expert with EXPERTsuisse. She holds a doctorate in economics from University of St. Gallen and is a Swiss Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Fabio Fagagnini MBA’12D, along with two INSEAD classmates, established Piemontana Holding in 2014 as an investment vehicle for future buy-ins. The first acquisition was Mikrona Technology. In 2019 they acquired Ortho Walker. He recently launched the ICCO (Interdisciplinary Competence Centre for Orthodontics) Foundation, along with establishing SMILE365 Ltd., a B2C joint venture. Fabio holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences East Switzerland.
Maximilian Giers, MBA’17D, is an investment professional at Montana Capital Partners AG in Zug. Prior to that, he raised and operated a search fund focused on small-cap companies in the DACH region. He approached c. 1,600 companies, spoke to more than 250 owners, and conducted triage and in-depth due diligences on 12 companies. He started his career at Morgan Stanley’s M&A Investment Banking team in Frankfurt. Maximilian holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen as well as an MBA from INSEAD.
Reto Gygax, MBA’13D, is a partner of VIALEX Attorneys at Law with offices in Zurich, Berne and Lugano. He has been working in the legal industry since 2008 and his practice focuses mainly on transactions, negotiations, and domestic and international litigation. His clients are mostly investors, company owners and entrepreneurs; he regularly advises clients in management buy-ins, management buyouts as well as leveraged buyouts, both on the sell and buy side.
Martin Spirig, MBA’06J, is a partner at Invision, a leading mid-cap private equity firm with offices in Switzerland and Germany. His investment interest is German and Swiss SMEs with market leading positions in their respective fields. Prior to Invision, Martin was a consultant at Bain & Company in Singapore. Martin holds an MBA from INSEAD and a doctorate of law from the University of St. Gallen.
Natalie Sediako, MBA’15J, is an executive director at LGT Capital Partners. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, she was an associate director at Rising Tide Foundation in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, where she focused on private equity investing. Before that, she was an investment manager for PSP Investments in Canada, focusing on private equity co-investments and special situations. Earlier, Natalie worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse in Canada. She holds a BComm from Queen’s University in Canada and an MBA, with distinction, from INSEAD.
Moritz Vielhauer is a partner at Bain & Company’s Zurich office. He has worked on private equity transactions across industrial goods, consumer, and retail. His expertise includes transformations, strategy development, performance improvement and operational due diligence. Moritz holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York and a BA in business administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland.
